Single-row cross-roller bearings feature alternating cylindrical rollers oriented at 90-degree angles in a single V-shaped raceway. This layout allows the bearing to handle axial forces, radial loads, and overturning moments simultaneously, making it ideal for compact designs that must resist high wind loads.
We protect our components through three key design methods: first, by using polyurethane or nitrile-butadiene lip-seals that keep sand and water out; second, by hardening the raceway using induction heat-treating to ensure high wear resistance; and third, by using heavy-duty, low-temperature synthetic greases that resist separation under high ambient temperatures.
We primarily utilize 50Mn carbon steel or 42CrMo alloy steel. 50Mn offers excellent surface-hardening capabilities and good wear resistance, making it suitable for moderate loads. 42CrMo is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with high tensile strength and impact toughness, which is preferred for extreme wind regions where heavy structural loads are common.
Gearless slewing bearings utilize external drive methods like hydraulic actuators or linear stroke cylinders.
